Title says it all.
Ive been playing this game for about 18 months now as one of my top 2 favorite time killers. It WAS a very challenging, and rewarding experience (after plenty of frustrating restarts).
The removal of the prospector was a decisive blow to those who the put time into a game to progress. He was generous enough to give more than 100 coins and a second item for completing 3 tracks, AND the ability to complete his mission at least 3 times a day.
There are other games out there that will be much more rewarding for the time invested by the player.

This message will undoubtedly be deleted and the prospector will not be back.
Heres hoping the devs prove me wrong about the prospector.
